Kingfisher
Kingfisher Scarf, Binary Style, 2021.
Binary Style has a Singapore Story collection where the designs of their garment and textile are inspired by the flora, fauna and architecture within Singapore. Kingfisher collection was inspired by the things that you see while going for a jog at Bedok Reservoir, Singapore- kingfishers, pomegranate trees, resting huts and the reservoir. I created a cushion cover print design, a scarf print design and a twilly print design all incorporating the same elements and motifs in varying layouts.

Peranakan Kueh
Peranakan Kueh scarf, Binary Style, 2021.
Furoshiki cloth is a Japanese cloth wrapping traditionally used for clothes, gifts and other essential items. Now, it is mainly used known as a bento scarf. The focus of the design is for it to be locally inspired. Creating a furoshiki cloth Inspired by the traditional Kikkō (tortoiseshell) print and local tradition, I gave it a local Peranakan twist having illustration of Nyonya kueh in each hexagonal tortoiseshell print. The desserts chosen were Kueh Kasui, Kueh Salat, Kueh Puteri Ayu, Kueh Onde-onde and Kueh Koci. This design was used by local brand Binary Style in collaboration with local brand, The Maks Coffee.

Origami
2019
In a collaborative group project with fashion design and dance students for a showcase at National Gallery. This unique origami garment was inspired by Eve Hesse's Area, 1968, and also by the many folds of origami that creates flat-looking yet three dimensional layers. The showcase featured other dancers wearing origami garments by other fashion students from Lasalle College of the Arts.
